The beginning of our hiking trail
Lots of cacti along the trail!

Nick next to a very tall cactus
A bird sculpture made from golf clubs at the Fine Art and Wine Festival in Carefree, AZ
We sipped wine and listened to the harpist and flutist play modern songs such as "I Gotta Feeling" and "Soul Sister"
We boarded the plane Sunday leaving sunny 70 degree weather to come home to snowy 30 degree weather. Right now I don't need to go anywhere (thanks to the MLK Jr. holiday) so I'm enjoying the beautiful scenery from my living room window. Snowy photos to come!

I just Facetimed with my parents - they are in Scottsdale right not! I told them they are coming home to much colder weather!
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed your weekend in AZ! Weather sounds so much better there than this cold weather we're experiencing. I'm happy that it sounds like your 2012 is off to a good start ;)
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely the biggest cactus I have ever seen. Beautiful scenery and (looks like) lovely weather.

I'm so jealous! I used to go to AZ annually when I was younger. I remember that we'd be in t-shirts and shorts and everyone who actually lived there would be in jeans and windbreakers :) hope you had a great time!
